Pokeys controller - A fast NAV/COM radio connected to ProSim 737
The first version of this article was written when the old 7-segment driver boards were released.
By now I have added some info on how to do the same with our 7 segment MicroDriver boards.
As an example of how easy it is to build a radio I will show you below the steps to follow for
completing a B737 or A320 COM radio or NAV radio. I will show you how I made it, complete
with ready to use parts from my shop.
I will show you the wiring using my 7-segment display driver boards that can be used to connect via
Pokeys USB or pokeys Ethernet to ProSim 737, A320 or P3D, FSX X-Plane. My display driver boards can
be used with all these software packages. Now also possible with Arduino see
Build a working radio in 5 minutes using our MicroDrivers
2 MicroDrivers are needed for 1 radio
The 2 MicroDrivers are mounted directly
behind the openings in the frontpanel.
No wiring to the displays is needed because the
displays are plugged onto the MicroDriver boards.
Each MicroDriver connect with 4 wires
to theArduino card.
